About

The Morning Chirp is a quick read on tonight's NHL games and the players behind them: who's hot, who's tired, which goalies are on a roll, and who was the star last night. It is short on purpose.

It is a sister site to Chirpin, where friends run private fantasy hockey leagues. They share a look, and Chirpin's weekly Morning Chirp email is where the idea began.

Everything here comes from the NHL's public data. It can be a few minutes behind during games, and the league sometimes corrects a stat afterward. If a number looks wrong, it may be.

The Morning Chirp is independent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NHL, the NHL Players' Association or any team.
